the Ballerina doth prepares.
From Batterie to Arabesque,
seldom is the chance to rest.

Développé and Pas de Bourrée
she dances tirelessly through the day.
The graceful move of her Plié;
From Jeté to a quick Glissade.

Of Pas de Chat to Pas de Deux
I wonder how she doth endure.
From Demi-Pointe to Fouetté,
she glides into the Relevé.

From Entrechat to Port de Bras;
It's her life; It's what she loves.
From ballet she will not stray;
She'll return to dance another day.
