Serenity will not be found where pride or anger dwell.
It won't be found where fear provokes its special kind of hell.
It can't be found where liars meet to worship guilt and shame.
It's never found by calling it some vague or cryptic name.

Serenity cannot be bought, it must be earned by living
In harmony with humankind, by loving, caring, giving
Of those selfless acts that ease the load of someone with a need
Then backing up our gratitude with more than word - with deed.

Serenity is that peace of mind that comes with self control.
It's knowing that by being kind will calm a troubled soul.
It comes when we become aware that our Eternal Master
Provides us each the strength we need to cope with each disaster.

Serenity is knowing that each heartache will resolve.
Serenity is growing with each problem that we solve.
Each day we live this way of life we trust we will mature
As fruit that sweetens on the vine the fullness will endure.

Serenity is feeling - a grand and wondrous dream.
It's moonlight on a placid lake with rising misty steam.
The wild rose on a hillside - a gentle cooing dove.
Those quiet, precious moments spent beside the one we love.

Serenity is wisdom that becomes profound with prayer;
Serenity is courage knowing that He's everywhere.
Serenity is accepting whatever comes our way.
Serenity is Gods gift to us - it's offered every day.

So as we sail our sea's of life hold firmly to the helm
Of truth and faith and willingness we'll steer into His realm
To find attunement with our God; whoever God may be.
We'll land upon His Blessed shores; His isle; Serenity.
